  There are numerous thoughts on the speed of cycle time regarding plastic strapping handtools against automatic strapping machines.

  For clarification, here are the relevant cycles against each other.

  Initially the product will be sited in a certain position ready for application of 2 straps for both of the applications detailed below:
  With a manual strapping jig and friction weld tool the operative has to forward a framework through the void of the pallet.  The operative then pulls the strap across the top of the pallet and inserts the strap into the friction weld tool. He then presses the friction weld button and applies tension, he then disengages the tool.
  Now for the second strap, ouch watch that bending !!!!!!
  Have I got to do that again!!!
